Christ as the stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner

Christ is the cornerstone building us up as living stones in God's building

The Jewish leaders were building something – God calls them “builders” – but in whatever they were building Christ was not fitting! If Christ doesn’t fit in what we are building – whatever we are doing, whether it is for God or for ourselves – we are rejecting Christ! This is a very sobering word – Lord Jesus, what about my job, my family, my career, my studies, and my personal life? Do I take Christ as the foundation stone and the cornerstone? Does Christ fit into what I am building?

God has chosen Christ as the precious One and He has set Him as the cornerstone to join the Gentile believers with the Jewish believers, making peace in Christ. Today in the Body of Christ we can have peace and we are joined together in Christ as the cornerstone. It is not because “we like one another” or “we adhere to the same doctrines” that we are one with one another, but it is of Christ and in Christ that we are joined and built up together! Christ is our foundation stone, and He is the cornerstone for God’s building! Read more on this topic via,

  1. Dear Author,
My pastor wondered if we could borrow this image for a slideshow to be projected during worship. We would credit your site as the source for the image. Thank you for considering it. Libby F., East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
