we are daily enjoying and experiencing Christ to offer Christ to God in praise

offering up a sacrifice of praise to God through Christ and with Christ

It is one thing to say, Praise the Lord! when something good happens, when you’re in the mood, when you’re happy, or when you just feel like it. But it is a different thing to have a life of praise, a life of experiencing and enjoying Christ resulting in offering Christ to God for His praise. God doesn’t desire that we would have sporadic flashes of praising the Lord from time to time, but that we would praise Him continually!

Everything that God does is based on what He is, and everything we do and say is based on what we are. We can praise the Lord – as the psalms encourage us to – if we have a sufficient experience and enjoyment of Christ in our daily life. When we daily experience Christ and enjoy Him, we can then offer Him to the Father and to men, thus praising the Lord. The best praise to God is just offering the Christ we experienced to God and to man.

We need to learn to enjoy and experience Christ as the reality of all the offerings for the church life, so that our praises to God would be perfected and uplifted. When we take Christ as the sin offering, we will praise Him for being the sin offering for all our trespasses and sins. When we take Christ as our burnt offering, we will praise Him as the absolute One for God, the One with whom we are identified in spirit.

There is SO MUCH of Christ we can enjoy and experience! And it is only based on our enjoyment and experience of Christ that we can offer a genuine and real praise to God by offering Christ to God! Read more on this topic via agodman.com at,
