Taking Heed to the Prophecies in the Bible, Especially those in Daniel 9!

Every believer is interested in the prophecies about the end of the world, and the entire Bible is packed with 1900 prophecies. Most of the Bible prophecies have been fulfilled already, some are being fulfilled before us today, and others are still to be fulfilled. Especially in the book of Daniel we see a lot of prophecies which include many details concerning the end of this age and the second return of the Lord Jesus!

The coming kingdom age will be an age of divine righteousness and in the new heaven and new earth, there will be eternal righteousness (2 Pet. 3:13).

This week in our morning revival we are getting into more prophecies in the book of Daniel – the vision of the seventy weeks and the age of the mystery.

Daniel prayed desperately to God requesting of Him to recover the Holy Land and send His people back to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, and God answered him by giving him a vision of the seventy weeks (see Dan. 9:2, 15-19, 24).

This vision of the seventy weeks in Dan. 9:24-27 is the most precious portion in the whole book of Daniel, since the seventy weeks properly interpreted are the key to understanding all the prophecies in the Bible.

Why Prophecies are Important and The Purpose of the Seventy Weeks in Daniel 9

During the church age, the age of mystery, Christ is building up the church to be His bride (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 4:16; Rev. 19:7-9).

The most precious portion in the book of Daniel is in chapter 9:24-27, where we see God’s response to Daniel’s interceding and supplicating for the people of Israel. God revealed to Daniel the entire future history of the people of Israel, all encapsulated in the vision of the seventy weeks.

Throughout history there have been many who interpreted this vision, and the Jews have a certain interpretation, while among the Christians there are other interpretations.

It is good to know the prophecies and to seek to understand them in the light of the entire Bible because – and only if so – the prophecies speak of Christ!

The seventy weeks is actually “the seventy sevens” – the word for weeks is “seven” – and it defines the scope of the prophecy. The end points of the prophecy are the closing of the transgression, the end of sins, the propitiation for iniquity, the bringing in of the righteousness of the ages, the sealing of the vision and the prophet, and the anointing of the Holy of Holies.

The Vision of the Seventy Weeks in Daniel 9 and Its Proper Interpretation

Seeing what the Bible Says it will Happen in the Last Days and Having a Proper Attitude!

But there is a God in the heavens who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the last days. This is your dream, even the visions of your head upon your bed (Daniel 2:28). This week in our morning revival we come to the topic of, The Vision of the Great Image—the Controlling Vision in the Book of Daniel. In the book of Daniel we see many visions, but the governing vision that interprets all the other visions is the vision of the great image in Daniel 2.

This vision is concerning “what will happen in the last days”. We need to see and understand the vision of the great human image and its destiny – it should be a wake-up call for us! Read more via,

The Controlling Vision in Daniel: the Vision of the Great Image in Daniel 2

And as for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was given to them for a season and a time (Daniel 7:12).We need to be clear what age we live in today. In the history class as we grew up we might have been taught about many empires and many peoples, but in God’s eyes there are only four empires that represent the entire human government throughout history.

These four empires are the Babylonian empire, the Medo-Persian empire, the Grecian empire, and the Roman empire. Though the first three ended a while ago, they still exist in their essence, culture, and influence (see Dan. 7:12, an extension of life was given to them). Read more via,

Being Clear about the Age We are in Today: Human Government is About to End!

Having the Proper Attitude as we See the Prophecies Being Fulfilled in the Last DaysAll God’s people need to see and be clear of what the Bible says it will happen in the last days. We are living in the last days, at the end of this age, and we need the Lord to enlighten the eyes of our heart and to remove any veils that we may clearly see what will happen and what our attitude should be.

Like our father Abraham, we live in tents – sojourning on the earth for God’s interest – and we build an altar – we put everything on the altar for God’s satisfaction. Our every moment is to live unto the Lord, loving Him, enjoying Him, and hastening His return. Read more via,

God Uses the Ones who Are Absolutely Consecrated to Him

Being the Nazarites of Today, the Voluntary Consecrated Ones to God in This Age

We need to realize that God can use us for His purpose today if we are absolutely consecrated to Him. He used Samuel, David, Daniel, and many others for His purpose – and today God is looking for many like them who voluntarily consecrate themselves to Him for what He intends to do in this age.

Daniel and his companions were absolutely consecrated to God even from their youth, and they separated themselves unto God from an age that followed Satan (see Dan. 1:4-8; 5:12, 22; 6:10). For this reason, God could use them as those who voluntarily consecrated themselves to Him for His move, for Him to turn the age and return the people of Israel from captivity back to the land of Canaan.

Today God is looking for some, those who are voluntarily consecrated to Him, some that He may use to change this age. No matter how young or how old we are, we can stand up against the tide of this age as an anti-testimony, just as Antipas did in the church in Pergamos.

If today we consecrate ourselves to the Lord willingly, staying away from any kind of death, natural affection, worldly pleasure, and rebellion, we will be greatly used by God.

The world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to Him!” (Henry Varley, a butcher, in the 1860′s, spoke this and D. L. Moody recorded it and mused on it).

Does Your Life have a Dispensational Value to God?

Every time God wants to make a dispensational move, an age-turning move, He must obtain His dispensational instrument; we must be those who have dispensational value to God (Rev. 12:5-11; 1:20; Dan. 12:3; Matt. 13:43).Question: Does your life have a dispensational value to God? Yes, our human life is very valuable to Him, since He as life can come into us and fill us to the brim for Him to be expressed through us. But does our life on earth have a dispensational value to God? Can He use you to the uttermost for what He intends to do today?

“What God desires today is to turn this age from the age of the church to the age of the kingdom. We are here on earth for this, and we are in the Lord’s recovery for such a high purpose – to be one with the Lord to turn the age from the age of grace to the age of the manifestation of the kingdom!

Every time God wants to make a dispensational move, a move to change the age, He needs to obtain an instrument, a group of people who are willing to cooperate with Him to be the dispensational instrument in His hands that will change the age.

As we live on earth today we need to realize that our life must have a dispensational value in God’s hands – we want to be one with the Lord to change this age, to bring Him back (see Rev. 12:5-11; 1:20; Dan. 12:3Matt. 13:43).”

Being Faithful Members of the Body who Cooperate with the Spirit to Work for God

This article is a continuation of the sharing inspired from today’s morning revival via,

Four Simple Ways to be Inwardly Filled and Outwardly Clothed with the Spirit

(at www.agodman.com). This is an application of the principle of working for God by the Spirit, as seen in Acts 13.

Cooperating With the Spirit to Work for God

In Acts 13 there is an amazing account of the Lord having a great turn from the Jews to the Gentiles, from the work in Judea to the work among the Gentile nations.

There were five brothers there who gave themselves to fast and pray, ministering to the Lord. All they did was to afford the Lord the cooperation He needs for His work. They didn’t initiate anything, they just prayed.

Then the Spirit selected two of them for the work, and still, they didn’t just rejoiced and send them out, but they prayed more, laid their hands on them to identify themselves with the two, and sent them out. They were sent out by the Spirit and by the Body.

This was the beginning of the Lord’s move to the Gentiles which also spread to Europe.

Allowing the Spirit to Initiate: We Cooperate!

It was initiated by five faithful and seeking members of the Body who afforded the Lord an opportunity, through their ministering and fasting, that Christ as the Head of the Body would come in as the Spirit and set apart some of them for His great commission to spread His kingdom for the establishment of His church in the Gentile world through the preaching of the gospel.

It was not anything planned by man or something organized by the church – it was a move by the Spirit, in the Spirit, and with the Spirit through the coordination of the faithful and seeking members of the Body on earth with the Head in the heavens.

The Spirit initiated the move, and the members of the Body cooperated with the Spirit: no human schedule, no religious movement, no organizing of missions, no raising funds, no human ordination, no human plan or method.

May our work for the Lord be initiated by the Spirit and not by us, and may we be those faithful to Him to just cooperate with Him in the Body and be sent by Him with the blessing of the Body.
