This morning we were enjoying the fact that both truth and life are the Lord Jesus Himself – they are two aspects of what He is. The Lord Jesus is life (John 1:4) but life is mysterious and concealed until the Lord speaks the truth – the truth is the outward definition and explanation, and the life is the inward and intrinsic content. In our experiece it is the same – we have received the Lord as the divine life into us, but this life needs an explanation, which is the truth!

The normal Christian experience of the divine life is always based on the truth in the Bible. The Lord is within us as our life, but the experience of life needs a definition, an explanation – this explanation is the truth. When we receive the truth by the hearing of the Word or the reading of the Word, we receive life! The Lord Jesus as life is contained in the Lord as the truth. This is why we need to get into the truth and understand the truth, be clear about the truth – so that we may enjoy Christ as life! Continue reading via,
