apart from being filled with God as our content, our human life is vanity and chasing after the wind!

When you pray over the Word of God, the light shines! The Bible clearly says that, All Scripture is God-breathed… (2 Tim. 3:16)- and this means that every word in the Bible is the breath of God which can become life to us when we take it in by means of all prayer and petition(Eph. 6:17-18). This morning in the morning revival we had some “unusual” verses that expose the reality of the human life under the sun without God,

Psa. 90:10, The days of our years are seventy years, or, if because of strength, eighty years; but their pride is labor and sorrow, for it is soon gone, and we fly away.
Eccl. 12:8, Vanity of vanity, says the Preacher; all is vanity.

Man was created by God and for God to fill him and be his content and reality. But today all men have lost God as their possession and they all have no real dwelling place! All human beings are drifting about searching a home – man is wandering because he has lost God! by daily receiving the divine dispensing we become the house of His beauty – the church!

How wonderful – God is beautified in His church, and the church is the house of His beauty! By putting Himself into us as the Spirit and the word, Christ becomes our beauty, brightness, and splendor! When we get into the Word of God, as Eph 5:26-27says, we are being washed, cleansed, purified, and being made glorious! The Word of God is a beautifying Word – eliminating all the wrinkles, spots, or any such things – so that we as the church may be holy and without blemish! The more we are open to the Lord for His continual dispensing into us – the more Christ dispenses Himself into us as life and everything to us – the more we become bright, beautiful, and glorious! Actually, Christ becomes our beauty and glory – Him living in us is our beauty and glory! By having Christ live in us, we become God’s glory and beauty – God becomes our beauty so that we may become His beauty! There are many precious things hidden in the book of Isaiah, and two of these things are the keeping of the Sabbath and fasting. Many people don’t really want to talk about the Sabbath or fasting since these matters have been spoiled by God’s enemy, Satan. Even such precious things as the keeping of the Sabbath and the fasting have been used by Satan to divide the Body of Christ and to bring about arguments and division. God desires to change our constitution by changing our diet – He wants us to eat Christ only!

God does not want us to “Improve” or “change our behavior”, to be “better people” – even though this will eventually be the result of us eating Him… God wants man to eat Him, enjoy Him, breathe Him in, and be constituted with Him! This is why we see that He brought the people of Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness where He gave them ONLY MANNA! A trip that should have taken less than six month took almost 40 years, partly because of their stubborness(which we all have) and mainly because their intrinsic constitution needed to be changed! God cannot build up His house, His dwelling place, with people who have a worldly constitution and desire worldly things! God builds up the church only with Christ and with Christ-constituted beings! Today He desires to change our constitution – He wants to elimiate every trace of our “Egyptian” constitution and craving. There are so many things we desire, we crave, and we rely on to feed us and satisfy us… our Egyptian diet denotes all the things that we desire to feed on – other than Christ – in order to find satisfaction. the real meaning of fasting is to stop eating any other things than Christ and eat the Lord as the Living Word!

What does it mean to fast? Of course, there is an outward real tangible meaning of FASTING, which means to not eat for a while, to deprive oneself from food and even from drink. And it is good to fast once in a while, as the Lord touches us and reminds us – give it to Him, and when He speaks to you, out of love towards Him and in consecration to Him, fast for the Lord and before the Lord! But there is also a deeper meaning of fasting, which deals not only with outward things but with our inward being. The real meaning of FASTING, according to the entire revelation in the Bible, is to stop eating all things other than the Lord Jesus and to not have a taste for anything other than Him! We all need to fast – we need to cease from all other kinds of eating, and to eat only Jesus as the bread of life in His word! In the eyes of God it is wicked to do things for Him without coming to Him to enjoy Him, eat Him, contact Him, and receive Him!
